Our pet therapy programs meet your resident activity goals: providing sensory experiences, use of fine motor skills, cognitive enrichment through reminiscing, and encourage social and family involvement.
Our trained Experience Leaders, with the help of your facility’s team, curate a personalized experience for each participant. We provide clean lap mats for each resident, keeping them and the animal safe. Also, our staff will bring animals by so that each person can experience them regardless of their physical abilities.
During each session, we facilitate reminiscing experiences. We ask guests about their own past pets and experiences with our animals. Often this leads to stories about catching lizards as a child, growing up with chickens, and other amazing life stories. These are some of our most rewarding experiences, especially with seniors in memory care.
