What makes Tiny Tails To You different?

We have a unique, organized, and safe setup where children sit comfortably on one of our stools with a mat on their lap. Children get to hold animals in a calm and controlled environment where the focus is on the safety of the animals.

Where are you located?

We are event based, we don't have a storefront/physical location that can be visited. We travel to and set up at your location of choice in the Austin, Texas metropolitan area.

What time should I schedule the petting zoo relative to my event?

If you aren't having us for the entire party, we recommend that we start the zoo about 15-30 minutes after your party starts in order to accommodate guests who arrive late.

What if the weather does not cooperate for the date of my outdoor event?

We can do your event rain or shine! We will need to bring the event indoors (unless accommodations below are provided) if it begins raining or the temperature at the event location goes below 55℉ or above 100℉ (according to weather.com). We can also set up in a garage or covered patio area. Indoor events are set up on top of a tarp to protect your floors. Outdoor exceptions can be made if there are misters, fans, or outdoor heaters present to accommodate for temperatures outside the 55℉ - 100℉ range.
We are pros at setting up indoors! We set up a zoo monthly indoors at Book People and locations all over town. We set up on top of a tarp to protect your floors. Size requirement: Regular Kids Zoo 8ftX8ft, Large Kids zoo: 10ftX10ft, Deluxe Kids Zoo: 16x16ft, Hoppy hours and pet therapies require a small area for animal setup (max 5 x 5) then enough room for your guests to hold the animals either standing or seated (in your facility's chairs) comfortably.  We can also set up in a garage or covered patio area.

What size zoo option is appropriate for my event?

We offer many different size options to match the amount of guests for your event. Please see our options page to help with your selection, recommended sizes are listed there too. If you still have questions, please feel free to contact us!

What is your cancellation policy?

The 50% deposit is non-refundable but it can be transferred to a rescheduled zoo if a cancellation is made at least 24 hours before your event.

What do you provide?

We provide everything needed for a safe and calm petting zoo. For our kids zoos, we include hand sanitizer, fencing, kid-sized stools and mats to protect from messes. We also have staff members in the pen with children at all times to help with the proper handling of the animals and to answer any questions children may have. For our hoppy hour and pet therapy zoos, we include hand sanitizer, fencing, and mats to protect from messes while animals are being held. We also have staff members present at all times to answer questions about the proper handling of the animals and to answer any questions your guests may have.

Can I pay with credit card?

Yes, we can accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, JCB, or UnionPay credit card payments.

Are your animals babies?

Our animals are mature miniature animals, with the exception of chicks. We raise the chicks during their brooding stage and exchange them for younger birds with local area farmers when they mature. The chicks are all brown egg-laying pullets (young hens).

Are you a local Austin business?

Yes, the owner's Chelsea and Joe are both University of Texas grads and call East Austin their home.

What time do you arrive? Breakdown?

We arrive at least 15 minutes before our petting zoo start time for birthdays and at least 20 minutes before the start time for festivals. We do not start breaking down until your full time is up.

Are you insured?

Yes, we have $2 million worth of General Liability Insurance and are licensed by the US Department of Agriculture. We also have several other types of insurance, please let us know if you need proof of insurance for your event.

Do I have to pay the deposit? Is it refundable?

The deposit insures we can recover some of the administrative expenses if you decide to cancel. If you do cancel at least 24 hours before the start of your event, your deposit is non-refundable but is transferrable to another event.

Where can I adopt a bunny?

We highly recommend the House Rabbit Resource Network, a wonderful rabbit rescue out of Pflugerville (a suburb of Austin). The Rabbit Resource Network currently has several hundred rabbits looking for good homes. Their rabbits are fixed and litter box trained!
